Description

Modern Enamelled Ceramic Cylinder

The modern glazed ceramic cylinder is a handcrafted product, made by hand following the oldest traditions of the craft.

To create the glazed finish, we use refractory clay, depending on the desired effect.

This clay is used with either white or black glaze.

Regarding the process: we shape and hand-finish the terracotta base, then place it in the kiln for its first firing at 1,000°C for about a week.

After the initial firing, the glaze is applied using a special spray gun; at this stage, it appears as a powder in a color different from the final result.

Once the glaze has dried, the piece undergoes a second firing, melting at 900°C and bonding permanently to the base.

Upon removal from the kiln, the glaze has taken on the desired color, giving the object a glossy finish.

Our ceramics stand apart from standard products: we offer our own original designs as well as truly unique pieces.
