Description

Vertical Putto, Excavated Finish Ceramic

The vertical putto with excavated finish in ceramic is an item handcrafted according to the oldest traditions of the craft.
This is a particular finish invented by the Cestenoli company (each product made with this finish is exclusively our production).
The process for producing the excavated finish is somewhat different from simple aging techniques.
We apply patinas (light and dark waxes), but the most particular aspect is the step where we add a special component to the object.
In fact, when the finish is complete, in the most recessed parts of the object, a gray patina will be visible, highlighting the details and making the product look aged as if it were antique.
The clay used as a base is majolica clay (because it is very smooth), which after the first firing will appear brownish.
After that, it is calcined using an element that dissolves during firing, leaving tiny holes throughout the object.
We put our passion, kindness, and expertise into every piece.
Our ceramics are very different from standard ones: we have our own production models and truly unique pieces.
Our ceramics will embellish your living rooms and walls with unique pieces of Tuscan art!
You will be struck by the particularity of the objects we produce and our technical and decorative skill.
